Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN seeks a Lab Technician for 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 12:00 PM–8:30 PM). Pay starts at $19/hr with weekly pay, plus medical, dental and vision benefits, an HSA/FSAs, and a 401(k).

Join a team focused on safe, sustainable environmental solutions. As a Depack Technician, you assist the Depack Chemist with sampling, packaging and labeling hazardous wastes for transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Hazardous waste experience a plus.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• De-pack lab pack quantities.
• Obtain samples from drums and sample in-house created material.
• Load and offload trucks.
• Pour-off/bulk up lab pack materials.
• Complete all regulatory paperwork to ensure environmental compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures.
• Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Respond to spills and other emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
