The Billingsley Lab in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Loyola University Chicago is seeking a research associate with a background in medicinal chemistry or chemical biology. Our group is focused on the design and application of novel therapeutics and molecular imaging probes. Specifically, we employ a cross-disciplinary approach to investigate particular aspects of small molecule regulation of biochemical pathways. The research associate will primarily conduct biological assays to elucidate the biochemical properties of novel synthetic agents. As a senior lab member, the successful applicant will also communicate scientific results in weekly meetings, oversee and participate in lab operations, and mentor/train students.
