Job Title: Lab Technician
Contract Duration: 5 Months
Pay range: $27 - 28/hr
Location: Chanhassen MN
Work Type: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. 8 am - 4 pm/ Central.
Job Description:
The Lab Assistant will support test requests by preparing the lab set-up, collecting, and recording data.
They will also be responsible for maintaining the lab equipment, ensuring the lab is clear, and following safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well independently and in a team are crucial for this role.
The Lab Technician assists with setting up test request specifications (filtration vessel, flexible hoses and rigid process lines, etc.)
Job Responsibilities:
Read through the test request goals and execute the protocol
Maintain detailed logs of experiments, observations, and results
Communicate results to the supervisor with progress and any issues
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and current on calibrations
Develop a lab inventory list, including parts and equipment, with their location
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing the proper PPE
Regularly clean workspaces and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient lab environment
Contribute to lab meetings and discussions by sharing updates on ongoing tests
Comfortable using various tools, including a pallet jack
Job Requirements:
Education level: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Years and area(s) of experience: 1-3 years' experience
Technical knowledge: General mechanical aptitude
Ability to work in the US / Sponsorship support: Yes / No sponsorship available
Physical abilities (ex., weight lift requirement): Ability to move/lift 35 lbs.
Location boundaries (Candidate must reside 50 miles from site if no relo is offered): Within 50 miles of the Chanhassen office

Any other 'ideal candidate' qualifications that align with this role
Prefer previous experience in laboratory or mechanical testing role.
