Job Description

• The Lab Assistant will support test requests by preparing the lab setup, collecting, and recording data.
• Responsible for maintaining lab equipment, ensuring the lab is clean, and following safety procedures.
• Must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Assist with setting up test request specifications, including filtration vessels, hoses, and process lines.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and execute test request protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs of experiments, observations, and results.
• Communicate progress and issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and calibrated.
• Develop and maintain a lab inventory list, including parts and equipment locations.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE.
• Keep workspaces and equipment clean and organized.
• Participate in lab meetings and share updates on ongoing tests.
• Use various tools, including a pallet jack, comfortably.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in the US; sponsorship support available.
• Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.
• Reside within 50 miles of the Chanhassen office, unless relocation is provided.
• No travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory or mechanical testing role.
