Mercy Medical Center - Cedar Rapids is seeking a Technical Lead for the Core Laboratory, Transfusion Services. You will supervise and train staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage QA/QC programs.

The role requires an MLS/MBL degree or equivalent, plus certification with ASCP/AMT or CLIA-recognized credentials. You will work with LIS and lab instrumentation, contribute to proficiency testing, and partner with the Lab Manager to address performance and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree in medical laboratory sciences or equivalent.
• Completion of a 50-week US military medical laboratory training program or other approved program.
• Certification/licensure per CAP, COLA, CLIA, DNV or FDA as applicable.

• Provide technical leadership in the Core Laboratory-Transfusion Services area.
• Ensure competency assessment and ongoing staff training.
• Maintain QA/QC programs and regulatory compliance across testing.
• Oversee instrument records, LIS usage, and proficiency testing.
• Lead process improvements and mentor staff in performance management.
