Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of relevant experience; enrollment in a medical technologist/technician program may substitute experience. No licensure is required by law.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor or laboratory assistant; enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may substitute for experience.

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS/CLIA/OSHA and Georgia health standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
