Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipuncture, specimen receipt, labeling and distribution, and to carry out CLIA waived tests as requested. You will support microbiology processing and other routine lab tasks in a patient-focused environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of laboratory experience or completion of a phlebotomy program, and state-required phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of laboratory experience or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
• Phlebotomy certification where State law requires.
• Associate degree in the laboratory or medical-related field preferred.
• Basic lab computer/LIS software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen receipt with accurate labeling.
• Distribute laboratory specimens according to protocol.
• Conduct CLIA waived laboratory tests as requested.
• Handle specimen registration and billing procedures.
• Assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens.
