You will process CLIA-waived tests and assist microbiology as needed, contributing to accurate specimen handling and timely results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of laboratory experience or completion of phlebotomy training.
• Phlebotomy certification where required by state law.
• Associate degree in laboratory or medical-related field preferred.
• Basic laboratory computer/LIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing.
• Performs specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Will perform CLIA waived laboratory tests, as requested.
• Will assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens, as requested.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
