Job summary

ConvenientMD is seeking a Lab Assistant to support laboratory services at a growth stage. You will help ensure specimens are received, labeled, and documented accurately while contributing to PCR and molecular workflows under supervision.

The role focuses on throughput, quality, and timely diagnostic results to impact patient care, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or a degree in biology, laboratory science, or related field preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or clinical environment; regulated settings (CLIA/COLA/CAP) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, label, and verify specimens per policies and CLIA requirements.
• Assist with sample prep and staging under supervision; support PCR and molecular workflows.
• Enter specimen and patient data into LIS; maintain logs and regulatory documentation.
• Stock, organize, and monitor lab supplies; communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab space; follow biosafety and waste disposal procedures.
• Communicate with lab team and clinic staff to clarify specimen collection or documentation.
