Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Technician Assistant to join our patient-centered team. The role focuses on receiving and processing specimens, performing basic lab procedures, and handling clerical tasks such as greeting patients, explaining procedures, and maintaining records.

You will identify and label specimens, prepare samples for analysis, route specimens to staging areas, process paperwork, and enter patient data accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA highly desired.
• One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in hospital laboratory preferred.
• MINIMUM 8-10 sticks per hour.

Responsibilities

• The Laboratory Assistant receives and processes specimens and carries out basic laboratory procedures.
• Greeting patients, informing them of procedures, answering phones and emails, and maintaining records.
