Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction materials testing lab.
• Proficient in Caltrans testing methods for soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• NICET and ACI Certifications required, including the listed technician levels.
• DOT certifications a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the materials testing laboratory.
• Perform and supervise lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and Caltrans specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and detailed project records.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, DSA, and DOT certification standards.
• Manage and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring quality and safety.
• Lead and mentor lab staff to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
• Coordinate with field teams and project managers to support testing needs.
