Job summary

A Bachelor’s or higher in Biology or Chemistry is required, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Biology or Chemistry or equivalent
• CLIA High Complexity testing competency required
• Appropriate state licensure or certificate, where applicable
• Experience in supervising and training staff in a clinical lab environment
• Ability to ensure quality control, documentation, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
• Leads and develops staff, and supervises workflow.
• Supervises survey and proficiency testing, and ensures timely completion.
• Conducts competency assessments and ensures documentation.
• Ensures compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Supervises routine testing of biological samples and maintains records.
• Maintains supplies, equipment calibration, and safety compliance.
• Investigates deviations and coordinates corrective actions.
