Qualifications

• Internal candidates require a minimum of two years in a Group Leader/related role.
• 5 years experience in a laboratory; Medical or production background preferred.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily department operations and client service functions as applicable.
• Ensures safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and cleanliness of the department.
• Develops and implements SOPs for Specimen Processing per Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
• Reviews SOPs biannually and updates as needed to maintain compliance.
• Ensures documentation is complete for internal and external inspections/audit.
• Provides staffing coordination and coaching to meet department goals.
