Qualifikationen

• BS in Medical Technology or related field.
• 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred.
• MLS, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Med Tech or CLS designation preferred.

Aufgaben

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Follow established policies and procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and escalate as needed.
