• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful for lab reporting

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and labeling of laboratory samples accurately and timely
• Prepare laboratory samples accurately and timely for testing
• Maintain knowledge of HIS/LIS systems and navigate common operating systems
• Communicate effectively with floors and physicians regarding testing, results, and labeling issues
• May transport specimens and prepare paperwork for transfer to other departments or reference labs
