Responsibilities

• Qualitative and quantitative clinical laboratory testing on patient specimens following established policies and procedures.
• Preparation and maintenance of accurate specimen records.
• Preparation of media, stains, reagents, and other solutions.
• Analysis of test results, relaying them to physicians and authorized personnel, and ensuring conformance to quality control parameters.
• Utilization, calibration, and maintenance of automated, non‑automated, and computerized laboratory equipment.
• Performing quality control checks on equipment and maintaining equipment cleanliness and readiness.
• Obtaining patient specimens such as blood and transporting them to the laboratory.
• Compliance with administrative laboratory policies, lab safety, OSHA accreditation, and regulatory agency requirements.
