DMC University Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technician Student to support routine clinical laboratory testing under close supervision.

You will assist in processing patient specimens, preparing media and reagents, and ensuring records are accurate and in compliance with quality control policies. The position offers exposure to core laboratory operations within the Detroit Medical Center system, with opportunities for hands-on training, professional development, and adherence to OSHA

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Accredited Medical Laboratory Science Program.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical laboratory tests of a repetitive nature and typically limited to one laboratory section.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of specimens received in the laboratory.
• Analyzes test results; relays results to physicians and other authorized personnel.
• Maintains compliance with lab safety, OSHA accreditation and regulatory agencies.
