Job summary

Georgia State Government seeks a Laboratory Services Worker for the Residential Construction and Carpentry program. Under supervision, you will ensure safe tool practices, sign out and return tools, organize the tool room, inventory consumables, and support the Program Director with stock and lab upkeep.

You must have a high school diploma or GED. Preference given to those with 1–2 years carpentry instructional aide experience. Up to 19 hours/week; compensation is $15.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of carpentry instructional aide experience.
• Demonstrates initiative and professionalism; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab activities with safety protocols and assist with grading projects and documentation.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; order and stock as needed.
• Keep labs and storage areas neat and orderly.
• Assist with grading course material.
• Demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior; perform other duties as assigned.
