Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking a Program Director for Carpentry & Residential Construction to design curricula, recruit and advise students, and manage budgeting and adjunct faculty. The director will teach up to 15 credit hours per quarter and participate in college committees.

The role requires experience in teaching at a two-year college, curriculum development, and strong communication with diverse learners. Hybrid/onsite teaching and community collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or AAT/AS/AAS in discipline or closely related field.
• Minimum TWO years beyond CAR/CAB/Residential Construction education.
• Five years fulltime paid work experience in field.
• Experience teaching college-level courses in a two-year college.
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours of day or evening instructional courses per quarter.
• Teach primarily face-to-face and hybrid classes on campus to promote student retention and program completion.
• Develop and administer program budgets and materials.
• Participate in college committees and professional enhancement activities.
• Engage in recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
