Job summary
The Belkind-Gerson laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an entry-to intermediate-level Laboratory Science Professional to join our team in pediatric gastroenterology research. You will perform animal handling, tissue culture, immunocytochemistry, and imaging on mouse models, with occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
You will work closely with the PI and lab manager on multiple projects, contributing to data collection, lab maintenance, and protocol
Qualifications
- Entry- to intermediate-level laboratory experience in a wet lab.
- Proficiency with basic lab techniques and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with cell culture and image-based analyses.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform animal handling and treatment protocols.
- Monitor experimental animals and support husbandry tasks.
- Learn tissue culture techniques including neurosphere cultures.
- Learn immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
- Perform basic microscopy and imaging and document details.
- Prepare general lab stock reagents and consumables.
