The Belkind-Gerson laboratory within the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an entry- to intermediate-level Laboratory Science Professional to join its pediatric gastroenterology research team in Aurora. You will assist with animal handling, tissue culture, and imaging on mouse models, working closely with the PI and lab manager.
Responsibilities include immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, and basic microscopy, with some evenings or weekends as needed.
The Belkind-Gerson laboratory in the Department of PediatricGastroenterology focuses its research on the enteric nervoussystem. Using animal models, we study the effects of variousintestinal insults, treatments, and nutrients on the entericganglia, intestinal function, and microbiome. We are seeking anentry- to intermediate-level Laboratory Science Professional tojoin our team. You will work closely with the PI and laboratorymanager on several research projects involving transgenic mice andthe isolation, culturing, treatment, and characterization ofprimary cells (i.e., intestinal neurospheres, Schwann cell-derivedspheres) from mice. Responsibilities will include but are notlimited to animal handling, animal treatments, cell culture,immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, and imaging. Due to thenature of this work, the position requires the ability to workfull-time in person, with flexible hours, including occasionalevenings and weekends as needed. Applicants should beself-motivated and highly driven.
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located inAurora, Colorado (CU Anschutz Medical Campus).

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position may beeligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
