Job summary

The Berdnikovs/Holguin Lab at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Laboratory Sciences Professional (Entry - Senior Level) to perform bench and translational research related to obesity, allergy, and asthma. The role includes in vitro culture, immunological/biochemical assays, and in vivo rodent experiments in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field. (Entry Level)
• One (1) year professional level research experience. (Senior Level)
• Two (2) years professional level research experience. (Senior Level)

Responsibilities

• In‑vitro sterile cell and tissue culture.
• Performance of immunological lab assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.).
• Performance of functional biochemical assays for studies of metabolism.
• Set up and processing of in vivo experiments with rodents (handling mice, administering substances, euthanasia and anesthesia, dissections).
• Accurate record keeping.
• Purchasing and inventory of reagents.
