The role focuses on animal handling, primary cell culture, and imaging using transgenic mice, with flexibility for evenings/weekends and on-site work in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
• Substitutions: education plus related experience may replace degree.
• Intermediate level requires a BA/BS in biology or related field; substitutions allowed.
• One year of professional-level research experience may be required for the intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform animal handling and treatment protocols.
• Monitor experimental animals.
• Support animal husbandry as needed.
• Learn and participate in animal harvests.
• Perform tissue culture techniques on intestinal neurospheres and Schwann cell derivatives.
• Learn immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
• Perform basic microscopy and imaging.
• Document experimental details.
• Prepare general lab stock reagents and consumables.
