Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Laboratory Support/Technician to assist in operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory in Atlanta. The role includes setting up and maintaining instruments, stocking supplies, and assisting with demonstrations and sample preparation.

Requires a high school diploma and up to two years of related experience. Candidates will work with faculty, staff, and students, performing routine lab duties and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of instrumentation and lab equipment.
• Experience with inventory management and specialized computer applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain instruments and equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials; maintain records.
• Prepare laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• Clean instruments, glassware and lab equipment as needed.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
