Job summary

Georgia Tech in Atlanta is seeking a TEMP - Lab/Research Support to assist with operation and maintenance of a teaching/research lab, perform analyses, and support equipment upkeep.

Responsibilities include setting up instruments, ordering supplies, preparing samples, and assisting researchers; requires high school diploma and up to two years of related experience; master's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• This job requires working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures specific to assigned lab.
• Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
• Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Conduct research in high-performance memory-friendly computations.
• Implement, test, and evaluate software artifacts.
• Prepare papers and present results to relevant research communities.
