Job summary

Georgia Tech in Atlanta seeks a temporary full-time Laboratory Support Technician to assist with operation and maintenance of its academic/research labs. You'll perform analyses, set up and run equipment, manage supplies, and ensure the safety and readiness of instruments for teaching and research.

You will interact with faculty, staff, and students, handling instruments, preparing samples, ordering materials, and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.
• Up to two years of related laboratory experience.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Experience with inventory management and specialized computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain instruments and equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials; maintain records.
• Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments and glassware.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned
