Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a laboratory specialist to conduct molecular and biochemistry tests under the supervision of the principal investigator. You will perform a range of tests, analyze results, and contribute to project progress.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Life Sciences with 1–3 years of related experience, proficiency in computer systems, and the ability to work with various lab techniques and equipment. This is a full-time on-site position at our Boston campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required, or Master's with relevant skills.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based apps and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine lab tests including DNA sequencing, gene cloning, in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, northern blotting.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment such as spectrophotometer and flow cytometer.
• Assesses reliability and accuracy of results, repeats procedures when necessary.
• Assists with planning research procedures and coordinating test schedules.
• Prepares written/verbal reports with statistical summaries and findings.
