Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Lab Quality Supervisor in Chicago to lead QC and Facilities teams, ensuring CLIA/CAP/NYS-DOH/FDA compliance. You will oversee reagent qualification, inventory QC, and instrument maintenance, while guiding corrective actions and SOP updates.

The role requires a BS in a relevant lab field and 4+ years of clinical experience, with strong communication and Excel/Sheets skills. This position is full-time and based on-site in Chicago.

Qualifications

• BS in medical technology or related field and 4+ years clinical experience
• Experience in FDA/CAP/CLIA regulated labs preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal/external stakeholders
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to adapt to new processes and exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee QC and Facilities teams with direction and mentorship
• Qualify new lots and shipments of reagents and label for processing
• Maintain reagent qualification records and QC of inventory
• Monitor QC metrics and respond to trends
• Ensure equipment documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ), PMs and service contracts
• Assist in troubleshooting lab errors and drive CAPA actions
• Audit readiness and SOP/document control updates
• Coordinate QC tasks with lab management and other teams
• Ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP/NYS-DOH/FDA requirements
• Maintain QC trackers and temperature-controlled storage
