Job summary

Bronson Kalamazoo Laboratory is seeking a Lab Quality Coordinator to support quality initiatives, data collection, analysis, and reporting across laboratory services. You will collaborate with leadership, staff, and pathologists to promote continuous quality improvement and patient safety.

The role emphasizes managing the Laboratory Quality Management System, regulatory compliance, and reporting quality metrics to leadership, with the goal of operational excellence in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, MLS, or CLS from an accredited program.
• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLS program is required.
• ASCP MLS/MT certification required; MT accepted if before 2004; ongoing recertification required if applicable.
• Registry eligible may be hired but must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support quality management and regulatory compliance initiatives in the lab.
• Track, analyze, and report quality indicators and non-conformities.
• Develop and monitor quality metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
• Coordinate quality data collection and reporting for quality committees.
• Support PDSA projects and quality assessments to improve patient safety.
