Job summary

ProFarm is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join its QC group. The role involves propagating plants from seeds, conducting insect and plant bioassays, maintaining fungal cultures, and testing materials for QC release.

You will generate accurate test records and ensure compliance with quality systems. The position requires a Biological discipline background (Associate's degree or equivalent experience) and hands-on lab exposure, with attention to safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biology or related field required or two years of equivalent experience.
• Hands-on lab experience and aseptic technique preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain standard lab equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist propagation of plants from seed and maintain fungal cultures.
• Conduct microbial, insect, and plant bioassays and record results.
• Set up, sterilize, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment.
• Prepare media types and reagents for experiments.
• Collect and document test data and ensure proper reporting.
• Maintain inventory and product retains as needed.
• Follow safety policies and quality systems; support other lab functions.
