Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Production/Lab Technician to perform manufacturing and QC laboratory tasks, prepare reagents, and print/label products. You will inspect raw materials, maintain records, and ensure compliance with QA and regulatory standards.

Strong organization, communication, and multi-tasking are essential. The role requires a life sciences degree (MLS preferred) and 2 years in a Clinical Laboratory Science related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field.
• MLS certification preferred.
• Two years experience in a Clinical Laboratory Science related field preferred.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory processes involved in manufacturing and/ or QC of products and preparation of reagents/media/test materials.
• Design and/or print product labels according to format and design needs.
• Label products appropriately.
• Conduct test procedures for shelf-life studies on retention samples.
• Perform incoming inspection of Raw Materials as required.
• Complete all required paperwork and records.
• Clean-up work area and dispose of biohazard or other waste materials appropriately.
• Identify anomalies in the production process and notify Manager.
• Operate and maintain department related equipment.
• Monitor, order and stock supplies and conduct monthly inventory.
• Familiar with the Quality Management System and quality policies.
• Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, CMDR, EU, MHLW, ANVISA, MDSAP).
• Knowledge of safety program procedures.
