Job summary

United WestLabs is seeking a Processing Supervisor to oversee laboratory processing operations, specimen logistics, and quality assurance. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and maintain operational efficiency under the direction of the Operations Manager.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating scheduling, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring turnaround times, and driving continuous improvement across the lab workflow.

Qualifications

• Background in Clinical Lab Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; adaptable to changing priorities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and basic quality systems.
• Ability to plan workloads and manage projects effectively.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory processing operations, specimen logistics, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage daily workflow through effective employee scheduling and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and educate clients on relevant issues.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams; communicate processing timelines and issues.
• Demonstrate leadership by covering staff roles during absences and driving system implementations aligned with goals.
