Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a clinical laboratory or specimen processing environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of LIS and specimen handling protocols.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of specimen processing staff across shifts.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure staffing coverage and efficient workflow in the processing area.
• Monitor specimen intake, labeling, accessioning, and routing to testing departments.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of processing activities; perform courier duties if needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; participate in audits and corrective actions.
• Serve as liaison with couriers, client services, and laboratory supervisors to resolve issues.
• Communicate procedural updates to staff promptly.
