Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Lab Pack Chemist to handle hazardous materials, perform on-site waste management duties, and support multiple business groups across projects. The role requires an associate degree in general science, a clean driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 20% overnight.

CDL B is needed within 6 months of start. This is a safety-focused position with opportunities to contribute to environmental compliance, packaging, labeling, and documentation for shipments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in general science (BS preferred) is required for the Lab Pack Chemist.
• Driver’s License with clear record.
• Moderate to extensive travel with 20% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Handles hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material per Lab Pack policies and regulations.
• Performs onsite services which may include waste collection, consolidation, sampling, safety inspections, and related activities.
• Assists other business groups and prepares shipment of packaged waste by inspecting, labeling, and loading into the transport vehicle.
• Completes documentation including shipping papers, LDRs, evaluations/certifications per regulations and procedures.
