Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Lab Pack Chemist in Raleigh, NC to support off-site treatment and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.

You will inventory, identify, segregate and package waste, perform onsite services, and prepare shipments, with CDL B Hazmat endorsement required to operate company vehicles.

The role requires 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, Lab Pack training, and DOT-related certifications; a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) is offered.

Qualifications

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER (29 CFR 1910.120)
• Commercial Driver's License (B or C) with Hazmat Endorsement
• Lab Pack I Training - (24 hours)
• RCRA/DOT refresher course
• Department of Transportation

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials: inventory, identify, segregate and package waste per Lab Pack rules.
• Perform onsite services: waste collection, bulking/repackaging, sampling, inspections.
• Assist other groups (Depack, Retail, HHW) as needed.
• Prepare shipments: inspect, label, load into transport vehicle.
• Complete shipping docs, LDRs, certifications per regs.
• Maintain on-site Health & Safety plans and procedures.

Education

Associates Degree in general science (BS preferred)
