Job summary

Mountain View Regional is seeking a Lab Supervisor to coordinate and oversee laboratory operations in Las Cruces, NM. The role ensures quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance, with responsibilities spanning staffing, scheduling, training, QC, and collaboration with clinical teams.

The Supervisor also monitors financial performance, maintains equipment, and supports process improvements while providing technical testing support as needed. Full-time, day shift, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field is required.
• 1-2 years of related experience in the profession is required.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lab operations including staffing, scheduling, workflow and supply inventory.
• Ensure test results are timely, accurate and compliant with CAP, CLIA and regulatory standards.
• Manage quality control and proficiency testing with corrective actions as needed.
• Lead staff development through training, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Monitor equipment and preventive maintenance; escalate issues to leadership.
• Support budgeting, cost control and procurement of reagents/materials.
• Foster clear communication with clinical teams and leadership.
• Maintain safe, compliant work environment and infection control practices.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
