Job summary

City of Hope Goodyear Hospital seeks a General Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations across multiple disciplines, ensuring accurate and timely results.

The role requires a MLS certification, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and at least 5 years of hospital lab experience with 2–3 years of leadership. Epic Beaker and LIS experience are preferred, supporting CAP/CLIA inspections and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related biological science.
• Current ASCP certification as MLS or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of progressive leadership, lead technologist, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations at City of Hope Goodyear Hospital.
• Supervise Medical Technologists, Laboratory Assistants, and support staff.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory services.
• Coordinate across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Molecular Diagnostics, and more.
• Promote regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership, medical directors, nursing and providers to ensure excellent patient care.
