Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated's Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee daily clinical department operations, staffing, training, and workflows at the Jamaica Plain site.

Reporting to the Administrative Director, you will ensure safety, quality, and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and FDA standards, lead section managers, manage budgets, and collaborate with hospital partners to deliver accurate test results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS, Chemistry or Biology.
• ASCP Board Certification (BOC) required.
• 3–5 years in people management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical department supervisory staff and support staff, including performance evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to CAP, CLIA, CLSI, FDA, and DPH standards and inspections.
• Lead educational programs, continuing education, and proficiency testing within the lab.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to provide efficient, accurate test results.
• Identify priorities for capital and system testing alignment and monitor budgets.
