Job summary

PsychoGenics Inc. is seeking a Lab Operations Technician to coordinate shipment logistics for biological samples, study materials, and live animals.

The role supports domestic and international shipments while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation. You will work with Study Directors, Project Managers, and vivarium staff to schedule arrivals, maintain records, and assist with general lab operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a lab, biology, life sciences, operations, supply chain or related field.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments or laboratory operations preferred.
• Experience with biological samples, temperature-controlled shipments or regulated materials preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments of biological samples, materials, and supplies.
• Prepare and review shipment documentation including chain of custody, invoices, customs declarations, health certificates, and permits.
• Schedule courier pickups and monitor shipments; address delays and regulatory issues.
• Coordinate shipment of research animals with vendors and vivarium operations.
• Assist with sample labeling, lab space organization, and storage inventory; participate in audits and inspections.
