Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA, is seeking an Associate Scientist, Lab Operations to join our team. The role focuses on performing routine lab testing, documenting results per SOPs, and supporting quality and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a lab science or equivalent and up to 6 months of regulated-lab experience, with proficiency in data handling and laboratory instrumentation. The shift is Monday–Friday, 10am–6:30pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; some locations may require BS in chemical/physical/biological/clinical lab science.
• 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency with lab techniques, buffers, calibration, and equipment maintenance.
• Experience with laboratory automation or specialized equipment.
• Proficiency with routine and non-routine calculations and QC metrics.
• Certifications as required by country/state must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document analytical procedures per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze routine data, identify unusual results, and elevate findings to senior staff.
• Prepare analytical results for upload into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) under supervision.
• Prepare buffers and solutions and calibrate/maintain laboratory equipment.
• Assist with quality investigations, deviations, and procedural updates.
• Train and guide laboratory personnel and onboard new team members.
• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and represent the laboratory on projects.
• Support safety, quality, inventory, and 6S initiatives.
