Job summary

Labcorp in Tampa, FL is seeking a Lab Intern to join the Microbiology and Molecular team for an 11-week full-time internship. You will shadow professionals, learn diagnostic workflows, assist with organization and inventory, and participate in demonstrations under supervision.

Eligibility includes current enrollment in a related Bachelor's degree program. Dates: June 1– August 13, 2027. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $22 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for across 20+ hours per week schedules.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor's degree program
• Interest in laboratory science and diagnostics
• Demonstrate attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
