BayCare Health System is hiring a Lab Medical Assistant II at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. This full-time role involves collecting and processing specimens for testing, coordinating with nursing, and performing phlebotomy while collaborating with physicians and staff.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of phlebotomy or lab-related experience and a High School diploma or equivalent; a related Bachelor’s degree can substitute for experience.

Competenze

• Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field.
• High School or equivalent required.
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience.

The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for:

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
  

Education:

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience
  

Credentials:

• Driver's License
  

Credential equivalent experience:

• Preferred Phlebotomy
