BayCare Health System's Bartow Regional Medical Center is seeking a Lab Medical Assistant II for part-time days. Responsibilities include collecting and processing specimens for testing, coordinating with nursing staff, and performing phlebotomy.

This role supports physicians and staff while ensuring timely referral lab testing and quality patient care. Qualifications include at least 6 months in phlebotomy or lab-related work, a high school diploma (or related bachelor's), and a valid driver's

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field

Education:

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials:

• Driver's License

Credential equivalent experience:

• Preferred Phlebotomy
