Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Logistics Specialist for an on-site role in San Diego, CA. The position supports shipping and receiving, handles hazardous materials, and collaborates with laboratories and internal teams to ensure safe, timely movement of materials.

The role requires 2-3 years of lab or logistics experience, forklift certification, and a valid driver’s license. Shift is Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with PPE and safety procedures emphasized.

Qualifications

2-3 years of on-site lab or logistics work experience, including shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Experience handling chemicals, laboratory materials, or hazardous materials.
Basic computer skills to support tracking applications and related systems.
Ability to use Word and Excel with basic fluency.

Responsibilities

Receive all incoming goods and verify accuracy against packing slips.
Enter receiving information into electronic tracking systems accurately and timely.
Maintain up-to-date receiving files and follow up on discrepancies.
Act as a company courier delivering and picking up interoffice mail and packages.
Assist with packaging outbound freight and ensure proper labeling.
