Job summary

Legend Biotech, Inc. in Somerset, NJ, is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to join the Information Technology team. The role supports laboratory IT capabilities, onboarding of instrument systems, and ongoing IT operations for GMP environments.

The candidate will configure instruments, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with scientists, vendors, and IT to ensure data integrity and instrument reliability across R&D labs.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 2 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of laboratory science within the life sciences industry, preferably in the cell therapy space.
• Understanding of GxP software administration and configuration.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting systems and applications in laboratory environments.
• Experience with direct customer and user interaction, including training.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end onboarding of instrument systems into a laboratory.
• Configure instruments per vendor specifications and connect to the network.
• Assist with risk assessments and qualification protocols per GxP when applicable.
• Provide operational support for laboratory computing devices and scientific applications.
• Track, document, and update incidents in the ITSM system.
• Collaborate with scientists, vendors, and IT colleagues on new systems implementation.
