Job summary
Verista is seeking a hands-on Laboratory IT Support SME to support lab computing and instrumentation with a focus on computer system validation (CSV). The role bridges IT and scientific operations, partnering with scientists, vendors, and enterprise IT to ensure reliable, compliant lab operations.
You will troubleshoot across OS, applications, and instrument connectivity; install and configure lab software; support onboarding of new instruments; and participate in IQ/OQ validation activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Experience supporting lab environments, preferably pharma/biotech/manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with instrument-connected PCs, IT troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with GxP environments and computer system validation concepts.
- Comfort with Veeva and change control processes, including maintaining validation documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support for lab PCs and instrument-connected systems, troubleshooting OS, applications, and instrument connectivity.
- Install, upgrade, and configure scientific software and chromatography tools in lab workflows.
- Onboard new lab instruments; coordinate with vendors during installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as primary IT contact for lab users; manage Windows, Active Directory, permissions, basic networking, and backup/restore.
