Job summary

New York Genome Center is seeking a Laboratory Inventory Associate to join the inventory management team. You’ll support the Senior Manager, Production Lab with stock control, ordering, and reporting, ensuring lab materials are stocked and tracked efficiently.

The role requires strong organizational abilities, experience in a lab setting is a plus, and the candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and multitask across priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, preferably with Mac OS.
• Previous experience as Lab Support/Stockroom Attendant or laboratory technician is a plus.
• Good organizational skills including the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack consumables, samples and reagents.
• Maintain organized stockroom and freezer rooms.
• Ensure laboratories are stocked and wash racks are refilled.
• Set up and monitor standing orders and shipments; manage procurement timelines.
• Prepare and provide weekly inventory reporting to Lab Management.
