Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team located in San Francisco, CA. The internship offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, and exposure to diagnostic workflows and laboratory operations.

The 11-week program provides hands-on learning, mentoring, and real-world project experience in a leading global life sciences company. Eligibility centers on current enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s degree program.

Qualifications

• Interest in laboratory science.
• Interest in diagnostics industry.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts.
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
