Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience; diploma alternatives considered.
  • Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills for simple calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of equipment, systems, and controls.
  • Operate test equipment including multimeters and galvanometers.
  • Coordinate removal of equipment needing basic repairs during scheduled maintenance periods.
  • Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment.
  • Responsible for locating part sources and estimating costs.
  • Document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs and other work performed.
  • Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements.
  • Assist with development of equipment, maintenance and calibration procedures.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
  • Output delivered following defined procedures and processes under supervision.
