Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is hiring a Laboratory Instrument Services Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will calibrate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on scientific instrumentation within critical client environments.

The role requires handling equipment, coordinating repairs, and documenting maintenance activities while communicating with customers and contractors. Strong attention to detail and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1–2 years of related experience or education combo.
• Must have license/certification if required by law.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs; good attention to detail.
• Experience with analyzing information to make judgments.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation.
• Operate test equipment like multimeters, tachometers, CO2 & humidity meters.
• Coordinate removal of equipment needing extensive repairs during maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and complete corrective work; document issues and actions.
• Record daily inspection, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors and communicate service status.
• Estimate part costs, source parts, and prepare requisitions.
• Track reliability and suggest alternate service or parts.
